Ukrainian Urban Awards 2020 🏆 3rd prize in the category "Unbuilt cultural and social objects"
The Workshop Center is located on Stadsholem Island in Stockholm. The main task of the future building is to preserve the culture of the whole area, where numerous pieces of art by local artists are located. Woodworking workshops and exhibition halls will offer visitors a new space for interaction. An architecture that, by placing itself on a border line, becomes a connection between the old town and the coast.
The concept of the shape of the designed building is similar to an iceberg, where the main part of the premises is hidden underground. The building has a sloping roof, on which there is a green square, where everybody will have an opportunity to relax and view the promenade.
